We had the best Christmas yet!! I can say that because this is the first Christmas we had as our completed family of 5!! (and yes, we are complete!) We FINALLY stayed home for Christmas Day this year. This is something we have wanted to do since Jackson was born and well...we just never did/got to. Not in a bad way, we have loved having the opportunity to be with family on Christmas Day. That just normally ended up meaning we were running around the whole day and there was not much time to enjoy and relax. SO. This year we did our Christmas Day our way...they boys got to play with their new toys ALL day long...and play they did! And other than cooking Christmas lunch/dinner we had no other plans. It. Was. Perfect. (IMO)
The day we joined back into the rat race....took the dog to the kennel, loaded all 3 boys, luggage, presents, and one elderly lab into my Tahoe and were westbound. First, we went to Kingston to visit my side of the family. I joked with my sister how my poor parents world has been rocked going from 2 daughters to 6 grandSONS!! In a matter of...6 years! HA! We also got to meet our newest cousin, Baby Peyton. She is soo cute and such a sweetie!!
After a couple of days at my parents and a birthday party (post to come) later we were off to Cookeville to visit Rob's side of the family. We were all spoiled with some wonderful gifts, Im still not sure how we made it back with all the toys! Unfortunatly we all (except Baby Carson, thankgoodness) came down with a stomach virus. NO.FUN. Its one thing to be home and get sick, but to be 6 hrs away...I'll spare the details....
We did make it home and all recover from our uninvited guest. We were so exhausted from all the fun that NYE was a blur and I think I was asleep when the ball dropped and the hubby and I were too afraid to share a New Year smooch in fear of passing the bug again! Oh well... We are now well into 2012 and I have some big plans for this year!! One coming in Nov. when I hit the big b-day!!
