3 times the party!!

This past weekend we traveled over to TN to celebrate all the March birthdays in the family. Jackson, Bennett and my nephew Drew all celebrate a birthday in March. We took all the kiddos (big and small) to Chuck E Cheese on Sat. morning they had a blast. Jackson's friend Brookie got to come and play too! He was SO SO SO excited to play with Brookie. They ran around together the entire time. Bennett and Kannon are 3 months apart and are very similar in attitude and likes and dislikes for that matter. I think they took over the biiig truck the entire time we were there. We had 2 extra adults..most of the time to help out....except for somehow my bro-in-law and Robert would get stuck playing a game "the kids didn't wanna finish" uh huh!!
After naps we celebrated more with cupcakes and presents which entertained the boys for the rest of the afternoon bc they now had new toys to play with or take away from each other.
Saturday night my mom and I had planned a surprise shower/get together for my sister with some of her friends that live in Knoxville. She is so easy going so it was super easy to surprise her. We all had a great time and it was nice to leave the "men" at home with the boys!! Surprisingly enough when we got home all 4 boys and poppi were asleep!! We had a great weekend but of course it went by way too fast!!

All the boys at the party table.

He didn't like the cupcakes at all....  ;)

Are they twins??

We took the boys for their 2 & 4 year old checkups this week. Checkups are getting quite a bit more involved as we climb up in years. They asked Jackson to draw 4 different shapes and a person. He passed with flying colors to say they least. But momma knew he would. Jackson was a stellar paitent and talked with the nurses and drs. very directly and was very compliant with everything they asked him to do. So since he did so well...brother Bennett decided to pick up the slack so that mommy and daddy would not be just sitting there. We are so thankful to be blessed with two happy, healthy, inquisitive and rambunkous(sp?) boys. Here are the stats and why I will no longer wonder why people think they are twins.

Jackson-4yr.
Height- 38 3/4 inches
Weight- 37.8 #s

Bennett- 2yr.
Height- 35 1/2 inches
Weight- 31.7#s

Surprise!!!

So no fun pictures to post of this weekend. We had lots of surprises though...Robert woke up with severe stomach pains on Fri. morning and by 5:00pm he had had an appendectomy and was in a hospital room!! Let's just say it was a CRAZY 24 hrs. and I am soo thankful he went when he did and that the dr.s and nurses were so helpful. Mimi and Poppi came to help out and made it about the time he got out of recovery. Our neighbors were SO incredibly helpful and picked up Jackson for me and watched the boys so I could go be with him after surgery. Thanks Brad & Carla, and David & Andrea!!!
Now we are fighting the battle of trying to get Bennett to "be gentle" and keeping the boys off of their daddy. Bc he is their wrestling partner after all. It should be an interesting 2 weeks. Hopefully I will have some fun pictures from this week or next weekend.

Happy 2nd Birthday Bennett!!

So even though I posted a very lengthy post about the boy's birthday party. I needed to also post a seperate one about Bennett's birthday. It was not near as planned out like Jackson's mostly bc he does not have near the opinion of what he wants to do just yet....but no worries...he has an opinion about everything else on a daily basis! So on Bennett's birthday I still made chocolate chip pancakes bc they were a hit on Jackson's bday and Bennett ate almost 2 whole rather large pancakes!! He had Elmo balloons and got to blow out his candle too. While the girls and I got ready Rob took the boys to a John Deer tractor store to get parts for the lawn mower. I should have sent the camera bc he said Bennett LOVED sitting on all the lawnmowers. He is really into BIG trucks and anything he can drive right now! When they got back we went downtown to eat...but a early St. Patty's day celebration threw us a little of course..but Bennett still got Kernal Kustard for his bday dessert! After nap is when we had the big revealing of their presents..their big black truck (see next post) and bball goal from Aunt Niki and Uncle Sarah!! ;) So they got to play all afternoon out in the sunshine! It was the perfect ending to a 2nd birthday.

Happy 2nd Birthday!!
I can not believe another year has gone by and now my baby is 2 years old!! HE certainly has given us a run for our money these 2 years. But he is truly a blessing and we love him to pieces!!

Birthday Extravaganza and More!!

Ok so this gets pretty long...but we have had a super busy 2 weeks..thats what happens when your kiddos have birthdays 4 days apart!! Jackson's 4th birthday was last Tues. We celebrated as a family all day..well the boy is driven by food so for breakfast he got chocolate chip pancakes, then we went by the Y for a bit, then he picked that he wanted to go to Toys R US to "look around" surprisingly they were both very good. For lunch I fixed his favorite, pb & j with cheetos and apples. After nap he had swim lessons and then we celebrated some more by going out for Mexican (his choice...bc he gets to eat chips there). We tried a new place by our house which was pretty good. All in all I think it was a great day for a 4 year old. He seemed very happy and content. We even forgot to open presents bc we were so busy. But he didn't even notice or care by bed time! A first!!

Only shot of the day...at dinner!!
Wednesday the celebrating continued with his party at school. He chose to have cookies (well I chose that one...he wanted cupcakes..oh well) and apples. The apples really were his choice...he LOVES apples and all fruit!! It was extra special because Daddy and brother also got to come and celebrate!

He got embarrassed when we were singing to him.
My besties from college made the treck all the way from Nashville, TN for a visit Fri-Sun. I am soo lucky to have these girls in my life. They mean the world to me...and the boys were in love with them by the end of the weekend!! ;)
Sarah and Jackson strolling.

Coolest Aunties...they brought the boys a bball goal!!

So this was the boys joint bday present...actually it was supposed to be their Christmas present....but we're not telling!

Move Kane! We're 4 wheelin!

Fun Times!
Sunday the girls headed home and we cleaned up and got ready for the boy's party at Salem Gym that afternoon. It was by far the easiest party I have done yet!! Rob's parents also came in on Sun and stayed through Tues. The boys were so glad to see their GeeGee and Papa and I welcomed the extra help!

Bennett was not a huge fan!

Jackson on the other hand LOVED it!

Look @ that face...he is working hard!!

Lil Monkey hanging around.

Going back for more!

I can not believe my boys are now 2 and 4. Where oh where does the time keep going??
