We enjoyed 5 days in the Smokies with my family recently. We stayed in the same cabin that we did last year. In case you forgot, read about it here. We did a lot of the same stuff as last time (pool, golf, and The Little Pigeon River) only with 2 more boys in tow!! ;) Actually everything went great, and we got to see several extra family members. Again, we ate way too much, but it was OH SO Good! I somehow convinced my sister we should take the boys on a hike. Ha. It went......bout like you would expect with a 7, 5 and 2-3 yr olds! I am so glad we were all able to spend some time together and the boys all got along wonderfully. Disclaimer: Don't get me wrong there was fits of crying, from the little ones, and some* whining here and there, but I think a great time was had by all!

Back in July we went to Townsend with my family. Since we grew up only an hr. away from the "wonderfulness" of G-burg and Pigeon Forge...we tend to try to avoid it at all costs now...I know there will be a day we will HAVE to take the boys to the race tracks, museums, knife store (kidding mom), putt putt,and whatever else they can talk us into...for now, we have convinced them that the outlet it the greatest thing ever!
Anyway....we went to a cabin in a resort community in Townsend. And it was fabulous. We went to the pool, the river, and the big boys even got in a round of golf. My sister and I got almost 4 hrs. to ourselves one day by the pool!! Talk about vacation!! I didn't get many pictures, just some of the boys throwing rocks at the river. They loved the river and had the best time just moving and throwing rocks around. Boys will be boys!

They were very busy!!

I know it is still only the 2nd month of the year but the weather has been more like April or May even!! I was SO relieved when I saw just 50s in the forcast....then 60s and 70s!! Ahh...music to my ears. We have been outside as much as possible enjoying the wonderful weather which helps cure us of the cabin fever we had thanks to the flu and sickness we've all had. On Valentine's Day Carla and I (mostly Carla) helped with the preschool party. Where the kiddos painted some adorable birdhouses and ate yummy cookies. My Valentines gift from the hubby was homemade crepes. I have not had crepes in a really long time and I forgot how yummy they are! This weekend Rob's parents....AKA GeeGee and Papa came for a visit. It had been since October when they had been here last and the boys were beyond excited to see them and to spend Friday and Saturday with them. They had so much fun while they were here. We always love when they get to come visit.
